I've driven my bought new Corvettes 12 months a year - regardless. Border to border -Texas to Minnesota. They make excellent Winter drivers. Here's my C7 in garage storage:

I had one of these for my Harley and it worked in keeping it protected and clean, but what a pain-in-the-*** getting the bike in and out of it.
Can't even imagine what a pain it would be putting a C7 in and out of the bag.
Pretty easy actually. Inflate fully to help with positioning if you have a tight garage. Deflate and unzip and simply drive on, roll the top on the vette and zip back up. Easy peasy.

Aw Yeah, you can tell by all the wrinkles how easy it is to store and work with. But glad you like it, I won't buy another.
That’s a sad sight but one that I will face in the not too distant future. Let’s hope spring comes early and drive time will once again be upon us.
I'm in East Lansing, MI, have parked my C7 in winter, but today had it out. On dry roads at 32 degrees fahrenheit I set the mode to "weather" (which cuts throttle response among other things) and had absolutely no problems. Yes, you can't be stupid with acceleration, but that is equally true in summer.
I think I'm going to do a little more winter driving on nice days, will replace the stock tires with Michelin AS 3+ when they're worn out.
Just a heads up. I have a friend who stored his GS with trunk charger, then took off to Florida for 4 mo last winter. He propped the trunk lid up a few inches not wanting to crush the lid weather stripping. Fast forward to spring and a chipmunk took up residence, putting over 60 walnuts in the car, all over the dash, down in the heads up display well, chewed the seats, wiring under the seats, even some vent hoses at the fuel filler. Over $3000 in damage. Don't worry about the charger cable when closing the trunk lid.
^ I agree, if you aren't taking steps to insure rodents and small animals can't get into your garage then close your trunk lid.
But then if rodents get into your garage, closing your trunk lid isn't going to keep them form getting into your C7 if they want in.
for those who live in more remote areas where rodents are an issue, i have used these to help keep them outside. I buy a 2" plastic pipe tee, some 2" heavy wall sewer pipe, and end caps (all heavy schedule). Drill a 3/4" hole in center of each end cap. Cut 2" long pieces of the straight pipe. Glue one end on 2" piece into each location on the tee, DO NOT GLUE the caps. You fill the tee with mouse poison and put on caps (tap hard so won't come off. Paint if worried about looks. I place these OUTSIDE along edge of my buildings to kill the mice before they get in. Can be made straight like pipe bomb, but wind blows then around and dogs are more likely to think a toy. They are pretty much Dog proof (NO GUARANTEES) as most will get tired of chewing before get to poison. I have been using for years and have had pretty good luck & I have corn fields & forest close to me so endless supply of mice.USE AT OWN RISK, I usually put out in August with fresh poison and pick up in spring, but can be left year round
The first two winters, I put it away (battery tender, car cover, tires on rubber mats, etc.)/
Last winter was so mild, however, that I never had to winterize it. It seemed as though every week there would be at least one day where the temps were moderate and the roads were dry, so I could take it out for a drive.
I've got my fingers crossed for this winter as well. In fact, yesterday, the temps were mid-40's, so I went for a 25-minute drive. It was great!
Just warm up the wire with a hair dryer and close the trunk. You will only have to do this 1 time the wire will remember. I have doing this for the past 5 years with no damage !!!
