I had a similar experience with my C6 a few years ago, but with a different outcome. I bought a used set of OEM optional Spyder wheels for my C6, and took them to have my tires swapped onto them. Before even mounting a tire the shop checked each wheel individually by putting it on the balancing machine without a tire to check if it was straight and usable. Turned out two of the four rims were bent and the shop refused to even mount my tires on them. I had to have them straightened before I could use them. My point here is that if Discount Tire mounted tires onto your sold wheels knowing they were bent, either: 1) they're not a reputable company, in spite of their size, etc. (which I truly doubt, although I've never dealt with them for anything): or 2) they believed the wheels were safe enough to use and mounted the tires on them. I don't think you owe your buyer any money back. They're his wheels now.
