Guys, in Texas you do not even have to get a police report in a collision with no injuries anymore. If it is a one car collision with no other damage to public or personal property, then there is no reason for an officer to expand. I mean really...what would he say..."car hit itself" or "apparent hit and run by alien"? I am always floored by the lack of empathy on this forum. Have a little heart. Unless you have a place that you request a car to be towed, it will always go to the impound...so all your sleuth work to prove it is at a city impound is merely stating the obvious. Unless BJT1 wanted a non-rolling hulk dropped in his driveway it is the obvious place to send it until he figures out how to handle this problem.

BJT1, I was incorrect above. The legal term you want to use when talking to GM is "Product Liability Issue". I am far from an attorney, but I used to have one as a friend. I double checked and he said using this term will get their attention...especially given the questionable history of these wheels. It implies that they put a substandard part up for sale that has the potential to cause bodily harm or death.

GM management should be ashamed, but that seems to be a lost emotion in this day and age.

I am not doubting the OP's story. However, the car's color is not consistent.

Post #1, I think the car is gray.

Post #24, the tow yard document states the car is black.

Post #26, top two photos, gray. 3rd photo, I cannot tell black or gray

Post #41, the police document states gray.

Granted the difference could be from lighting and the tow yard guys not knowing.

Just an observation.

Man some of you guys are brutal. When I first saw the pictures my first thoughts were ‘Wow...lawsuit against GM’, then I was convinced that it was all a lie, cause an experienced so n so said so n so. Then more evidence arrives. But I need to back up and say that, Bryan I’m glad you are doing OK. I read a lot of threads that I do not reply to, but if you decide to take up a legal liability challenge, I wish you luck and keep us updated.

3 different tow company names,

2 different drivers,

3 different tow yard address

Different pick up locations

all of them say collision

last picture he posted is not a police report.

tomorrow I’ll have my agent friends check on this with Arizona highway patrol.

Oh I’ll tell you what your reason is, you crashed the car ( if it’s your car ) to some kind of gaud rail, damaged all 3 wheels,

the reason you posted here because you wanna use that as GM issue
insurance company will need reasons, and some kind of poor me evidence.
so you can get away from the crash blaming GM 😉

You’re something else! The body of the car is well intact! I didn’t hit anything...

How long have you owned the car ?

post one picture that shows the car before the accident and license plate number on it.
you think we are stupid
, you span the car and crashed, there are lateral impact damage on the wheels scrape marks on the side of the body.
or you took the pictures of the car at auction yard,
wheels don’t crumble like that, it’s my job to look into those.

It’s cool I’ll get the bottom of this tomorrow with Arizona department of public safety.

The impact could of been a curb taller than 5 inches, and less than 2ft high, body stays intact, wheels absorb all the lateral force,
this is why the hub section is still bolted on but the rest is broken off.

Look kid this is my job.

Holy cow! It never ceases to amaze me at how quickly a post can go south on this forum. I think this one needs to be wrapped up.

I'm still eating popcorn waiting for the final verdict! I hope the OP is okay but to have all wheels do that and just basically implode with the explanation I spun out going 70mph doesn't seem logical or those are the weakest wheels on the planet.

Yes, you are. How about backing off so the rest of us can see how this goes. Thanks to you BJT1 will probably never tell us how it goes down. Having lost 7 wheels to bends and cracks, I am very interested in following this thread. If it's a lie, then that will become clear, but so far you are the only one who appears to be making stuff up.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but those aren't OEM wheels by GM, are they? I thought the GS and Z06 OEM wheels have more spokes on them?

Those appear to be OEM GS wheels. Here's what they look like on pg 35 of the 2019 Corvette Brochure...

clearly you don’t have the brain capacity to see the difference between bent/cracked wheel and the wheel that been crumbled due the impact.

so there you go. Have fun.
You're too focused on insults and name-calling to be taken seriously, no matter what your qualification may be. Moreover, your self-proclaimed need to "get to the bottom" of an online forum post that doesn't affect any of us (except possibly the OP) calls your motives into question more than the OP's. What's your interest here, beyond insulting others and calling them names?

My brain power is so low the moderator had to help me find where this thread moved! On a side note...can anyone out there remind me which pedal makes the car go, and which one stop. Damn, so dumb I just pooped myself again.

So you were travelling down the highway, switched lanes at 70 mph, then your wheels just blew up? That doesn't sound very believable....

They all just broke at exactly the same time just cruising down the highway. Absolutely no way. not a chance in hell. He had to have run something over, hit something or went up a curb.

Some people just need to have attention and when they tell a tall tale and get called out on it they will do anything to try and defend themselves. We all know these wheels are garbage but this story and pictures strain any sense of credibility.
