I am fully aware that the battery is considered a consumable , but the battery must have a warranty on itself. is it a 30 month or a 60 month or somewhere in the middle.

I believe it's either 32 months or 36 months. AC Delco changed the warranty period on their silver batteries. Either way, if you've got an early 2018, it's either got no warranty remaining or very little.

I have never had to reprogram a FOB on any of my Corvette, nor on my CTS-V --- and I've changed out MANY batteries over the years....

There is NO programming in the fob. The "programming" process is really the same conceptually as pairing a new bluetooth device to your phone or computer. You are just telling the car to recognize the fob.
I've also replaced fob batteries in many Chevys and GMCs. Never had fob issues afterward.

Replacing the fob battery isn't a guarantee it will work because a lot of batteries are weak/defective even when purchased. If one replacement doesn't work, try another (or two) before giving up.
