I lowered my C7 Grand Sport a few months ago by adjusting the lowering bolts. The back end came down quite a bit, but the front end didn't come down as low. I can't figure out why. Has anyone else had this problem? I don't have the ZO7 package. I have read on another thread that maybe the car has to be driven 500 miles. Not sure if that is right.
Not sure on the 500 miles, but I would give it least 300 per say or monitor it.You may find you will have to add adjustable rear toe links to get rid of to much positive camber in the rear. When the front settles in no additional parts needed. At least that is what happened to my GS
A lowered shot
Some have reported they didn’t need a alignment. At the price if these tires I would have it checked after you think it stopped settling. Easy on the corners until aligned and settled.I ate tires quicker cause I was way off after lowering.
Then had to wait for toe link install return to shop to finish the alignment.
It will stiffen your ride cause of the shortened travel in the suspension.
I got it aligned a little bit after and it was out of alignment. I've thought about replacing the front lowering bolts to bring it down more. Maybe that's the trick.....
Hi Dale, where did you get your car aligned and did they have the caster tool? Thanks
I see your local.Well,Copeland Chevy put it in the green. No adjustment in the rear even after they saw my tires wasted on the inside only.
