Make that a gazillion results with an "Advanced Search" here for aftermarket "X" pipes. And, it comes with one to begin with... an "X" not an "H." I know of nothing that comes with an "H" pipe any more.
Yep. X pipe is something a lot of folks do. Any difference is going to depend on whether your catted or not, but I don't know that the difference is substantial.
I did LT headers and an x-pipe from Juiced Motorsports. I kept the stock NPP exhaust. The sound in Track mode is insanely good. In Stealth, it's quiet and almost refined.
As for power, I purchased and had them (Juiced) install their Stage 1 kit. LT, X, CAI and dyno tune. I had already installed the Soler TB and controller. The power certainly increased (Juiced claims +30). I can't comment on exactly how much was from the x-pipe alone, though.
If you're really interested and have the time, check out some of the videos on YouTube. There are dozens of videos explaining and comparing the differences between X and H pipes.

Go to youtube. Plenty of videos and sound clips talking about their experience and also brands. I just bought a "cheapy" manzo xpipe off ebay and will be installing it in the spring.
Yes the stock pipe has a crossover or X configuration.
The main reason people get an aftermarket X-pipe is to remove the rear cats which opens up exhaust for more sound. I got the Borla X-pipe before the crack down on companies selling emissions defeating "off road" (IE: race car) parts like this. The rear cats are not monitored so no O2 sensor to bypass and thus no errors codes.
The cat-less X-pipe was just enough sound enhancement for me (I have the NPP as well)
Has anyone ever put an H or an X pipe on the stock corvette exhaust for a c7, if so can you notice a difference?
The only company I found that makes an H Pipe for the C7 is MRT, I think they're in Dearborn Michigan. The price is $1,100 for it. I'm still debating on making this purchase, considering I have Corsa Helixx xpipe, but I would rather have the deep bark and tone to go along with my ARH mid length and Borla Atak.
You wont feel anything. SAme with an H...or straights. You need to dig into the engine to get real gains most times.
Lots of 10-11 sec cars with stock exh..maybe headers.
Knowledge is Power! ... So wish I had the following knowledge before I bought and installed my Corsa double helix X pipe. Forget an aftermarket X pipe. If you have a good muffler shop that will do it, simply have them cut out and remove both secondary Cats from the factory X pipe. This factory pipe is 2.75" inside diameter, which is what Borla used when they made their popular Offroad 60547 X Pipe. You will now in effect have the BEST sounding X pipe and exhaust mod, and for much less than any other option. My Corsa, like another poster eluded to gives out a louder, yes ... but shreiker type note compared to the deeper Borla because Corsa uses 3.00" inside diameter pipes, but the factory & Borla 2.75" pipes extract more lower end torque and a deeper, richer lequally loud exhaust note once the CATS are removed. The BEST thing about the 2.75" pipes though, is that your Snaps, Crackles & Pops when you downshift or lift throttle are WAY more noticeable and fun coming from 2.75" pipes as opposed to the 3.00" pipes! .... Knowledge! 😉
I did this experiment in my 98 camaro. I had a custom exhaust with x pipe and after a decade needed rework so I tested an h pipe. Power wise it was within 5hp, just a bit less but it mellowed the tone significantly. The x pipe had more of a rasp and nice high rpm sound which suited a muscle car where the h kinda dulled it and killed the rasp.
The whole borla vs. corsa debate has been beat to death over the years. Everyone likes one more than the other. Hpipe financially does not make sense unless you have a custom one made.
I'd recommend listening to cars in real life if possible to decide which one you like best, or youtube if in person is not possible to figure out which setup you like best.
I personally love the corsa, borla did not sound right to me and so moved on from it. Find that sound that is right for YOU
