In this instance, the 2017 is closer to spec I would have ordered, while with the 2016's mileage I could drive it for two summers and still be at or under 10,000 on the odometer with two years left on a GM platinum warranty. So I can buy one, the other, or stay on the sideline for the unicorn. The last option doesn't seem that fun.

It really boils down to what YOU can or can not live with. As long as you don't feel like you have settled, that's all that counts. In all honesty, you can't go wrong with any of the C7 offerings.

Ha! Crossing fingers, she gets loaded onto an enclosed trailer tomorrow and expected to arrive this weekend. Will take pix of unloading and post along with ID of which she is.

For all those of you who stayed with this thread and - yes - “validating” my decision, here she is, freshly off the hotshot. I went with the 2016 CPO Z51, driven exactly 1027 miles by her first owner (title shows 3 miles on delivery to him), a 79 year old retired physician who traded her back to the same dealer for his C8 on order.

A shoutout to the greatest guy, Tony Cammiso, at Mangino Chevrolet in Amsterdam, NY. He is the reason I own this Corvette today.

On arrival...

...removing the straps....

...off the truck...

...and into my garage...

It looks and feels brand new! However, it smells like dryer sheets and fabreze...clearly former owner knew the tricks about keeping mice away.

When I got mine it smelled like smoke or some weird smell,
The agreed to a ozone generator it took that smell away I don't like any smell
To get the febreze smell out take a paint pan with BACKING SOADA for about a week .
If that doesn't work Ozone generator is 70,00 1 hour treatment will take all other weird smells out leaving new car smell
Love your corvette. I telling You nailed it

However the dryer sheets keeping mice away is just a myth as I've seen where mice have used dryer sheets to make their nests.

Less miles wins in my book.

I was in a similar situation. Two exactly the same price, one was two years older and had double the miles but more options.

I went with the low miles, newer, less options choice, and couldn't be happier!

Back at you. Same here. I chose the lower mileage.

You chose the right car but I HOPE it had nothing to do with the 3LT dash as some do go bad but their are MANY AND MANY that are just fine!!! Congrats on a GREAT Z51 STINGRAY!!
