Dash 12v source?

Dash 12v source?
I'm looking to get a 12v source behind the drop down screen......anyone have an idea if theres something close by that secret compartment? After a search, only see most are grabbing 12v from lighter in center console......

I THINK I just found my answer.... supposedly theres a usb cable available that puts out 12v, would be great if it works, just plug into that USB port in back if the compartment

There's no such thing as a 12 volt USB cable. It's 5 volt only.
There's a USB PD (power delivery) spec that supports 5, 9, 15 and 20v, but that's for things like specially designed laptop chargers. You're not going to find it in a car any time soon.

I stand corrected.
Make sure it supplies enough current for your needs though. It only outputs 0.6 amps, and that's only if you give it 5 volts at 2 amps as an input. I think the center display USB socket is only good for 0.5 amps to start with. So the available current at 12v would be extremely low.
