I am a new owner and NEED some help and advice from much more knowledgeable owners. I just took delivery of a new to me 2015 Stingray coupe with 27K miles on it. The engine seems to miss at low speeds, however it's not throwing any fault codes. It actually feels like an engine with an aggressive cam in it, but it is disconcerting to feel this "miss". Is this "normal"???
Would it throw a fault code if there was actually a "miss"???
Thanks for helping a newby
If there is a "miss" issue, you will get a Check Engine light and probably a P0300 code will be registered. Is it hesitating or stumbling? Our engines do run a touch on the "lope" side at idle.
When I was driving my new '19 home from the dealership the car seemed like it was about to stall and ran rough whenever I came to a stop at a traffic light . I found out from this forum that this is normal for these cars and nothing to be concerned about. Normal idle is 650 rpm's.

That is EXACTLY how I would describe it" lope". Thanks for the good info.
Rough idle is normal... consider it performance trying to get out
Accelerating slowly through low speeds, occasionally I'll get a bit of a stutter which is more noticeable when the engine's cold...
Also, there is a touch of a throttle response lag off of idle for the M7s. There are a few simple "fixes" if you're up for some minor "upgrades".
Ported throttle body
Throttle controller. (from, Vitesse, Soler, a few others)
LOTS of threads and chatter about this on here during the earlier years of the C7. Hit the advance search. I put in the throttle body and that really helped with the idle-to-go lag.
One other thing to watch for with your 2015...there were/are some overheating issues. Nothing major wrong with the engine. The issue is the radiator fan. Theres a bunch out there that would misbehave. Basically, the fan wouldn't "wake up" after some long drives where the fan wasn't needed at higher speeds. Then you'd exit the interstate or whatever and she'd overheat. The quick resolution is shut off the car, then start her back up. The logic is IN the fan unit. I swapped mine out for the Z06 unit. Plug n play. Hasn't remotely overheated since and that's with 6 track days on that fan too. Not ALL the 2015s (and 2014s) do this...but if it does, the fan is the issue.
