It was best that you ordered a new one...many of the "old" versions also have a RA003 and are not the latest version of the Range...I spoke to a rep this past week and he had indicated that there were actually 9 updated versions...so ordering a new one was/is your best choice...the "B" on the end of the number is the color...there are 3 colors available...FYI...I think Range is owned by Holley
I don't have a lot of experience with a Range...I as you; will be trying this out...since I just purchased this year a 2017 GS...I have done a lot of searching on the internet about Range...and I believe it is a no brainer to buy one...but...I am also wondering if putting the Vette into the 4 cylinder mode does something to the torque converter or TCM; since there are a lot of folks that have/had to bring their vettes into the dealerships for transmission problems....my advice from other members when I was buying my GS was to purchase a Range unit...there are guys out there that sell used Range units...but it is important to know when (year) and which version that was purchased...The rep told me that several (9) updates were being installed into units that were purchased since 2017...I thought that was pretty interesting
