Default Range Device Installed

I finally got to try the Range Device out. While driving I noticed one surge or stutter from the trans when I accelerated. Almost like it tried to go back into 4cyl mode. It only happened once. The car stayed in V8 mode the entire time and it was otherwise fine.

The Range AFM Eliminator is a very good product. Have one on mine and it works perfectly.

Could have been a number of things .... but one thing for sure it was not the TCM commanding the 4 cylinder lock up logic which causes the shudder . If you want to be sure ... just leave the V4 - V8 indicator up on the dash display

I received mine in the mail yesterday and tested it out. Worked great. Just like the car should be!

Yes, after it happened, I pulled over at the mall and put the indicator up and it was on V8 the rest of the time. I'll be sure to do that before the next few outings to make sure everything is good. Next up the is the soler throttle controller.

My GS hasn't been V4 mode since I installed mind over 3 years ago. They work, nothing to worry about.

Be sure to buy them directly from Range to make sure you have the latest Firmware. Note they only have a few authorized dealers....... Ones for sale on Amazon and eBay may not have the latest firmware.

@Dt86 Oh no - you should go another tenth of a mile. I am pretty sure the devil drives one of those Dodges.

If you are not going to use your car for several days should you unplug it?

if you have the latest firmware you should have no problem with leaving it plugged in as Range changed the way they ping the ECM to see if car is running
