About a month ago the battery in my 2016 Z51 died. The car was in storage and had a battery tender attached to the power terminal by the front fuse box. I thought that perhaps it had died because the battery tender didn't have a good connection, so I reconnected it and let it charge. The next day I went into the garage and heard a constant clicking from the back of the car, like a relay clicking on and off. I disconnected the battery tender and the clicking stopped. I removed the battery and had it tested and it was bad, so I got a new one. I fully charged the new one and installed it but I'm having some strange electrical issues:
- Neither door will open. When I pull the handle, the window moves down slightly and I hear the normal door release click sound, but the door isn't released. I have to pull the manual release cord to get it to open
- When I tap the start button (I haven't tried to start the car yet, just accessory mode), I hear the door chime sound and the start button lights up but neither of the screens turns on and none of the HVAC controls light up
- The glove box release button doesn't work
- The center display slide up / down button doesn't work
- The interior lights and exterior lights work
- Locking and unlocking the car with the remote works
- Opening the trunk with the remote works
I measured the voltage at the terminal by the front fuse box and it's only at 1.28 volts, which seems like a bad sign. Measuring the voltage at the battery I get 12.5 volts.
I'm thinking I've blown some fuse(s) and / or relay(s). I pulled a few of the fuses and looked at them and they were fine. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start, other than pulling every fuse and relay one by one? Is it possible to test the relays in any way or do I need to order some replacements and try swapping them out?

This would be very entertaining! But let's try a more professional approach. Check your connections at the battery. Remove the connection from the negative terminal, wait ten minutes, and reconnect it. Try to start the car.
False alarm. I'm an idiot. When I changed out the battery I had forgotten to reconnect the second positive cable that runs towards the passenger side, and I'm assuming goes up to the front fuse box. It had fallen down out of the way and disappeared. Once I reconnected it everything worked fine. Hopefully this helps someone in the future who makes the same mistake.
regarding the battery tender.....I thought it was supposed to be plugged in to the cigaret style plug in the rear passenger side. (I've never plugged mine in)
