I have to park my C7 in a gsrage for 2 to 3 weeks at a time. Cannot use a battery tender as no electric service available. What ideas on how to prevent the battery from being able to start car
If its not an old battery it will survive 3 weeks. If you want to play it safe, pull off the negative. You will have to reindex the windows but thats easy.

I agree, IF your battery isn't old and towards the end of it's life cycle (5-7 years old), you should be fine.

Popping the negative battery cable off would be a good solution. However, a battery in very good condition should allow for a restart in 2-3 weeks of storage time.

Yes remove negative cable can be done in 1 minute and car will start guaranteed. Or if you feel like reading lookup transport mode but its a lot less work to just disable at battery.
Get one of those small rechargeable jump packs, charge it up and leave it in the trunk of the 'vette. They will hold their charge a long time, but do recharge it occasionally.
If your batter actually dies, use the mechanical key to get into the trunk (may set off the alarm), pull the tap to release driver's door, use jump pack.
When they first came out, there were a few fires caused by faulty units but I haven't heard of anything recently.
If your car won't start after 2-3 weeks of storage, it probably needs a new battery anyway.
My car was in storage for close to 5 months for winter. The storage place will not put a tender on it, they disconnect the battery for all that time. I went to pick it up and the guy told me it started right back up. Once I got home I put the charger (15 amp) on it and 30 seconds later it said full charge. I don't know if they charged the battery the day before but it's fine.
Another thing they don't do, I had purchased tire saver ramps and they didn't want to put them either. Double set brand new in their carry bag. I had put extra pressure and the tires are fine.
I think the mystery has been solved. I installed a new 42 month AC/Delco battery and am back in business. Just to try and narrow down the possible problems, I plugged the CTEK into the trunk socket & wiggled it around to ensure a good connection, power light was on and red charging light was on. After 24 hours the lights were the same. What? 24 hours charging a brand new battery and the green "Charged" light did not come on? I have a brand new Battery Tender Plus that I then plugged into the trunk socket. When I checked back a little later, I had the green light saying it was charged. Wish I had a more logical brain and would have thought to try and isolate the problem earlier and saved some money in the process without having to buy a new battery. Oh well, the CTEK is in the trash and I'm going to use the Battery Tender Plus from Deltran next summer. Finger crossed! Thanks again to you all for the suggestions & comments -- good info and options that got me (finally) thinking.
