I don't know for sure but I would definately disconnect before tuning or taking the car to the dealer while on warranty just in case.

Default Just my 22 cents............

ANY TIME you are working on your c7 that requires you to disconnect and/or plug in any wiring harnesses, my advice would be that you disconnect the battery first. In my opinion, it doesn't matter how insignificant you may think the wiring connection/harness may be, its just a safe practice to lift the negative connection from the battery.........do the work..........then re-connect the negative connection on the battery. I go as far to lift the negative on the battery & wait 30 min. to start messing with the wiring connections.

Probably overkill...........but......better safe than crying later!

I just received my soler tb and tc. Should I install one first and run the car for awhile or both together?

I installed both at the same time, no need to do it separately.

You can install 'em both at the same time, but installing the TB first then the TC gives more information about the effect of each individually, then combined...
I'd consider installing the TB and the sensor/wiring for the TC and connect the TC unit later

Or program the controller for the OEM throttle response while checking out the impact of the throttle body. Then later play with the controller's settings to find the response curve you like.

They are both great pieces of kit. And Mike's service is unsurpassed.

Thanks for the replies. I think I will do the tb first so I can see the improvement clearly with it then add the tc a little later.

Had some questions about the throttle controller so I called and left a VM for Mike. Less than an hour later call and answered all my questions
What a great device that fixes the lazy throttle that can be tailored to suit ones driving style. Best of all it's hardware based and easy to install!

I put a Soler TC in my '19 shortly after getting it and had no issues. I put one in my '16 a couple of days ago and on the initial test ride the CEL came on but no limp mode. Got home, unhooked the battery for 15 min per the instructions and all's well. I tried the Ludicrous setting once, not advisable for street duties.

Default Soler TC and Reverse

I am planing on purchasing a Soler TC for my 2024 Corvette C8.
But I was curious.... Does the TC setting also affect the throttle response when you are in REVERSE?
That could be a bit TOO exciting under certain circumstances....

Second question.. Removing all the panels in the Frunk of a C8 is a bit time consuming when you want to disconnect the battery to reset a CEL...
Has anyone considered installing a Battery Cut Off switch like the Perko Switch, in the Frunk area, so that you would not need to remove the panels in the Frunk to get to the battery.
