I prefer the looks of that Ferrari and the C7, but I'm going to buy the C8 Z06 for the performance. Hopefully the wider lower body will help. Though I do know in person the C8 looks better than in photos. I'll keep my C7. No trade in or selling.

You have to admire beautiful front engine cars.. for many the long nose look is just awesome and mid designs just cant replicate it. Ferrari knows how to really do a design that flows. Damn shame they could not keep making the front engine Corvette along side mid engine..
My understanding in Italy, Aristocrats drive Maserati's, while playboy's drive Ferraris?
The Gentlemen's choice, super GT, is the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera V12.

Many thanks,

People who need a sedan drive Masers in Italy.... and spend less money in doing so. Ferrari 4-seaters, other than a couple of models, over the years are suitable only for children.... Ferrari and Lamborthini still rule the speed set all all ages...
Have lived, worked, and played in Italy off and on since '81.....
Ferrari’s are beautiful, at least the ones I’ve seen on the road. So are McLarens. Both of my Corvettes are manual. I learned to drive with a manual Ford truck and I drove school buses as a high school student. So I gravitate toward manual transmissions.
It appears that the C8 borrows style characteristics from both the Ferrari and Lamborghini.
[QUOTE=Cbr600F3!;1603471553]not many on Corvette and zero on Ferrary....however I beat a lambourgini diablo twice off the start with my basic 19 C7 Z51[/Q
Ferrari and Lambos are NOT for -0-60 driving... they are for the twisties.and circuits.. anyone who 0-60s a Ferrari or Lambo is an idiot... they're road cars....
I have almost 1,000,000 miles in Vettes and have more than 66,000 in Ferraris.... love 'em both for different reasons...
The Corvette, has always been the gentleman's American sports car to buy and drive new. They're inexpensive, cheap to operate and maintain. In short, they're what American sports car owners on a budget buy.
Decades old Ferraris aren't even part of the conversation here.

The discussion part about Corvettes "against" Ferraris on the road was indeed very much a part of the discussion. I stated plainly that my C7 does everything better than my "decades old" Ferrari does - all except one that has not been brought up - depreciation. All seven (7) of my Corvettes have been depreciating assets... the old Ferrari, on the other hand, has doubled in value even with me driving i it.... Too bad if I offended you - but, from reading you for years now that's easy to do.
Yesterday I drove into town and angle parked at the town square next to a brand new Ferrari 812 GTS. What a beautiful car! As I was getting out the owner was walking up to the car so we talked. He complimented my car and I told him his was just from another planet. I asked him what he liked most about the car and he said driving it. I told him I really like a front engine car because of the design and he agreed that that was the reason he bought the 812. It's long hood with an 800 horsepower naturally aspirated V12.. Absolutely insane! I asked him if he had considered the mid engine Ferrari 's. He said he was not really into the mid engine design and preferred the long hood and classic style of a front engine sports car. I told him I could not agree more. I know the C8 is all the rage but Im
a traditional kind of guy and I just never get tired of looking at the design of my C7. The icing on the cake is I saved $300000 by going with the Corvette.
Kind of makes you wonder about GM's statement that they could not go any further with the C7 and had to go rear engine.

Aside from the extra hood to accomodate the V12, that is pretty much a C7 clone, or vice versa.
What are you doing with your $300,000, by the way?
