2016 Manual C7 dash gauges/gear indication stop working
check engine light and the indication with the wrench illuminated.
Took the Vette out for a drive today. Drove to the store without issue but when i got ready to leave, Noticed that all display gauges had frozen: Speedometer (analog and digital) displayed 0 and gear indication display was blank. Immediately drove home and Noticed that gear was extremely hard to place in reverse and back up camera would not display. Will be taking car to dealer Monday morning but has anyone else had this problem? Car is in reverse but back up camera is not coming on. gear was harder than usual putting in reverse.

If you are still using the original battery replace it. Then proceed with further trouble shooting. Not sure what electronics would make a shift into reverse difficult unless the gate that prevents reverse when moving forward is impacted by some electronic issue.

I feel like correcting everything electrical that goes wrong with C7 starts with “how old is your battery?” For good reason…
Mine did something similar the other day. My battery is only 3 years old, but we just pulled the battery cable for a few hours and then reconnected it. That seems to fix a LOT of C7 glitches
Yeah, these cars are equipped with FLA batteries from the factory, likely as yet another cost cutting measure. Replace your battery with an AGM and enjoy a much longer life when your FLA dies.
