My brother recently purchased a 16k mile 2014 3LT Z51 coupe from Corvette Warehouse in Dallas. The display went black on the way home from the dealership and never reappeared. Do these have a high failure rate? Now I’m wondering if my 2016 coupe is likely to quit any time soon. Kudos to Phil and management at CW for replacing the display at no cost even though the sales agreement states there is no warranty after the sale.
The 2014s seem to suffer from this more then other models. There is a blue wire that becomes damaged from the screen going and up down. Maybe the wire was revised in later years which explains why it effects 2014s more then others? Not sure about that. More info: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...cheap-fix.html I can say when my 2014 had screen problems is was simply a lose connector at the HMI module (located in the drivers kick panel). After reading about the wire and screen becoming stuck I never use mine due to the risk.
Search Youtube videos for a fix. I had the same issue with my '14 GMC Sierra. As stated above, it was a loose connection at the HMI unit. It's a known issue and an easy fix.
It's not specific to C7's or Mylink but this will give you an idea of what I am talking about:
I had a problem with my screen. After checking here on the forum found the module for it was in the drivers kick panel. The wires sometime come loose. I checked the wires for a tight fit and havent had a problem since. Give it a shot

Thanks for the advice but the dealership repaired it. I don’t know what they did but it took three hours and now it works again.
When I was reading the first I and heard it was from Corvette Warehouse I was thinking I bet they fix this...glad they did but I think they should have...they charged a premium but it nice to see there is a reason why.

They seemed hesitant at first about fixing it (the sales agreement states there is no warranty) but the salesman spoke with management and said that would cover it. It is my opinion also that they charge premium prices but their service is excellent.
I dealt with mine flickering for about 1 month.Tried the connectors behind the kick panel. Finally had to get mine replaced but Carmax was great about getting it repaired for me.Seems to mostly affect the 14 models and I don't think mileage or use of the screen is as big of a problem as the original design was.
