I recently bought a used 2019 C7 and someone asked me if I had side skirts installed. From what I can tell what I have is the factory rocker panels with no side skirts but I am wondering if the rocker panel is supposed to stick out wider than the bottom of the doors? I am posting some pictures for reference and am wondering if this is normal or do I have an issue. Thanks.

It does not look like you have side skirts installed. What I see in the pics is the normal body panels, although the bottom does look to be misaligned a bit.

That is what I thought, doesn't appear to have any side skirts and I guess I should take it to the dealership to see if they can align the panels.

something is wrong with the lower body panels, does not look right
I'd highly suggest getting Rockers...They really finish the car off. Buy them from ACS..
Yes, I am looking to get some side skirts from ACS Composite but I want to see if the dealership will fix the OEM rocker panels first in case that affects the install of the ACS skirts. I am still deciding between Zero1's or Zero7's, to each their own but the Zero7's look like SUV running boards to me (I know opinions vary) considering how wide they are compared to the Zero1's (to each their own). I also plan to add the ACS splash guards on front and rear. I see they have rear fascia pieces as well but not sure the need for that.
Normal. Mine is the same way. There are different levels of this issues from what I've found looking at several C7s.
At the end of the day, it's a GM product and a Chevy at that. I know that's not a popular opinion, but that's not a good fit and finish. SORRY!!!
I'm sure you have seen the rockers installed on other C7's, but they definitely don't look like running boards....(IMO) I also spoke to ACS and asked them the difference between the Zero1 & Zero7, and the other main difference was the 7's are way more durable. They highly recommended the 7's, but to each their own....Also, installed them myself...(pretty easy as lock as you can jack up the car....
good luck

The rocker panel is actually called the aperture panel and it is bonded to the frame,
it is not adjustable. Do both sides of your car look the same? All C7's have that
offset. I would just install your choice of side skirts and you will be fine.
I went with Zero 1's on mine and they look great.
Here is a picture of the panel in question being replaced by a forum member
who is changing to a wide body. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1592735738
You can look thru his post to see what is involved in replacing that part.
That is normal. From what I understand it is to keep stones and debris kicked up by the front tires from beating the crap out of the bottom edge of the door. Not as big a deal on a Corvette but cars w/ steel doors used to rust out a lot there because that edge got sandblasted all the time and then got wet. I think there may also be some aero advantage.
