Hello,
This is my first post and my first Corvette. The car is a 2016 Z51 the issue I'm having is when I try and use the remote start either with the App or the key FOB the lights just flash and I hear a click . Any help would be great before I take it to the dealer.
If there was any security issue, the remote start won't work. Three honks upon exiting, it won't work. CEL ; No go, hood not latched, a door not fully closed, etc....
It will, surprisingly remote start when the trunk/hatch is open.
Virtually anything not kosher will disable the RS.
Will remote start work with a convertible top down?
Yes, I just did it on my 2014. Dropped the top, pressed lock, press AS and Vroom. Press AS, car shut off, pressed "Lock" for 3 seconds and the top went back up and the windows rolled up. (I have SmartTop).

When i exit my can it does honk I think twice and i tried to disable it in the setting
I would sit in the car and start the car with the keyfob in the car using the start button......then shut the car off and get out and close the door...press the door lock button on the keyfob twice and then press the remote start on the keyfob.....this should start tge car.
You can only remote start your car twice in a row and after that you need to start the car by sitting in the car and press the start button to start the car and that resets the remote start.

I went out side and just tried what you suggested and it was the same . My car does honk the horn rapidly when i walk away from it .

Your car should not honk the horn rapidly when you walk away. At most it should honk only once and that would be if you have programmed the system to do that. Did the car come with two keyfobs when you bought it. If not, there may be one somewhere in the car lost by previous owner. This might prevent it from remote starting.
If you walk away from the car an leave your keyfob in the house far away from the car, and walk back to the car without it,...can you open the car, and get in and start it without the keyfob on you?
If you leave a remote keyfob inside the car and close the door,it will honk 3 times in a row to warn you that you left the keyfob in the car.
Do you know if the car battery is still the original in the car? If it is, I would replace it as it may on its way out and causing electrical problems.

Do you have another FOB left in the car by any chance ? That you forgot about?
The only time honks rapidly is if my key fob is in the cup holder if I am working on the car with the windows down, and the key Fob is in it.
When I got the car in December I was only given 1 FOB. I purchased the car from Carvana. Now funny thing is sometimes the car says its FOB 1 and sometimes it says its 2. I wonder if the previous owner dropped a FOB in the car somewhere.
Tomorrow Ill look for one and get back to you guys thanks for the help
Get in the car without your fob and see if it starts …..if it does …hunt that other fob down ….
Yep, and find it quickly because the car can be easily stolen.
I don't believe the doors actually lock, at least not automatically, as long as there is a FOB inside.
I had the same issue with mine but it also wasn't honking when I locked it. Turns out the passenger door wasn't closed all the way...sure felt stupid afterwards
