When the C7 was first introduced, I had no doubt that some say I would have one in my garage. It is really the first Corvette that I really wanted from an initial look. I think the lines of the car go very well with what a modern, high performance car should be like and the performance, while not up to C8 specs, is still better than the vast majority of the cars out there.

I think the C8 looks like a mid engined C7 I love them both. I don’t think my car looks dated at all, I’ve seen 3 C8 Corvettes so far….

BINGO, my "exact" same feelings. We were on our way back from vacation in Florida and going through the airport they had the new C7 on display in yellow. I saw that image and it blew my mind. It took me 5 years to finally get one. Strange, that same feeling I got when I first saw the car in '14 I still get ( even more so because its mine ) when I walk into my garage and see her sitting there.

When I look at the C7 and C8, I think they are both current but one is front engine while the other is mid. There is enough resemblance that I don't see my C7 as dated.

I had looked at Corvettes for years but the C7 was the one that pushed me over the edge. Partly because of the external styling, but the revamped interior was a huge factor.

[Funny but true story: I probably would have had a Vette years earlier, but the dealers around here treat them like gold. I could not get a test drive anywhere. On the other hand, the local Audi and Porsche dealers just tossed me the keys. So I had an Audi tt and a used Porsche 911 first. But the C7 is my favorite.]

To me the C7 is the only model that looks like a super car and that's why I purchased it. It isn't outdated yet, I get so many thumbs up, comments, and people taking pics and videos it's amazing. You can't really compare the looks with the C8 because it's too different. The C7 was the pinnacle of this particular style and I'm sure the designers had carte blanche to draw their final art piece. When I parked with these two C8's, 4-5 people came up to me to say they preferred the look of the C7.

For me, the C7 looks as contemporary today as when introduced.

I knew the C8 was a wider car then the C7 but never realized by how much.

Off topic but remarkable how designers made just 3 inches appear like a foot.
Could be wraparound taillamps extending to the side & tailpipes on the ends made the car look wider then what it is.

It is 2.2 inches wider but does appear bigger than this, especially from the rear.

The rear end styling of both the C& and C8 is heavy. I find interesting the factory paints the lower rear black as an effort to hide the rears' size. A good number of C5 owners I know painted the lower rear to achieve this same effect.

I think it would look modern for quite some time still for many of the factors already stated. I'm sure many will say the C8 is the modern one as more hit the roads and it being the new dog in turn per se, but I think C7 will still hold its own.

I'm probably bias though as I think the C8 is ugly as hell, and still love the look of the C6Z as well.

This a great "Opinion" thread
Corvette owners are a Cult and thus have a loyalty to the brand most cars do not have. I've owned 6 vettes now 1965, 2006, 2007(Z06), 2013(Z06), 2016(z51), 2017(GS)
I personally think the C-2 was and is the best looking Vette. Various years of C-3 look good?, I really like C-6 wide body. The C7 took awhile for me, but I've really come to like it alot, and the wide body is really nice. I have not embraced the C8, not sure I will live long enough to embrace it? But I'm weird because I'm on my 3rd Yellow Vette and think it is the only car that looks great in Yellow.

To each his/her own - drive what you like!

I have had my C7 almost 5 years and still can't stop looking at it.
It's friggin beautiful from every angle with timeless looks.
In time I believe, this one could be a modern classic

Many are cult members, as well as fetishists.

Accordingly, a lot which should not be forgiven about the car - both styling and performance - is given a pass without any thought. .
