I bought a 2016 3LT Z51 about three weeks ago and went to the dealer to do fluid changes and get a new battery. I told them I wanted a premium battery, they put in a ACDelco 48AGM. Model number: 88864541. I looked it up online and there is no record that it should be used on a Corvette. The dealer said they used my VIN to match it but I am wanting to make sure that the battery is safe.
MyDarkAngel: Thanks for sharing this. I think it is good that the dealerships are improving and going to the AGM.
I found that even Amazon is selling this battery. I have a 2017 and will probably replace my battery in fall of 2022.
I tried looking up the AGM battery and didn't find it in the list of recommended batteries from ACDelco. ACDelco Parts

Yea, that is what threw me when I went to verify it that I could not find, so good to know it is a good battery to use.
Just a sidenote-unless you live in an extremely cold climate, get the ac delco battery with the highest reserve as opposed to the highest cold cranking power. With all the electronics of modern cars, reserve is more important.

I told the dealer I wanted a premium battery, I hope they picked the one for where I live. East Texas. It has 120 RC.
The Ac Delco with the high reserve ( per the link in an earlier post has a reserve listed on the picture of the battery at 145.
I would not get overly crazy the difference.
