I went to a friends house on the highway, and went about half way when the noise. started. Took foot off gas and the noise stopped. Mose gas and noise started.
Looked under car but all I could see was sheet metal. Noise was still there when I left.
About half way home noise stopped and haven't heard noise again.
Put the car up on a hoist and check the bolts on the center brace and also the cats above it. Check the heat shields too. Something tells me it's exhaust related, and likely something loose
Torque tube failure comes to mind. There are 2 bulletins on this which describe a low grinding noise coming from the torque tube area. Most pronounce at low speed and take off early on, will be continually grinding once comepletely shot.
