Remember the old saying..."once you go black, there's no going back." I think that refers to wheels, right?!? Just dump the OEM pads and get dust free (Powerstop $150 for full set.) Chrome is so 20th century...
definitely not chrome. but plain gloss black is also getting kind of stale. Look into having dual color tones, or polished lip and black or some shade of gray powder coat.

I had 1989 C4 Z-51 M6 for 26 years and 10k miles. It was very easy to keep clean and no brake dust. When i turned 60 i ordered my C7 just like my C4 and got a car with brake dust, rock throwing tires and when you wash it you have to blow it dry or the water will leak out of it for days. For the brake dust i got Power Stop pads and they turned my rotors BROWN and run Hawk pads now. I dumped the Pilot Sport rock throwing tires and have A/S 3 all season tires and had my wheels Powder coated. And use micro fiber drying towels and a cordless blower to dry my car now.
