2016 Base Stingray, bone stock with oem wheels. Car has been on a battery float last few months, but driven 30-40 miles several times monthly. Tire pressure all around cold is 30psi. The left rear wheel shows a warning of low tire pressure, even when that tire warms up and shows 31-32psi. No other wheel shows a warning.
The owner's manual says to drive over 12 mph for 10 minutes and the sensors will reset themselves. Obviously that's not a solution. Any tricks or tips to solve this problem short of going to the dealer (last choice) ?
Hello from Colorado: My tire pressure sensors read about 3 psi low. I've read some of the threads here on these Forums about problems with the sensors. I've read that replacements are available from a dealer and maybe a Discount Tire place. They do need to be equivalent to the GM sensors originally used. I understand the sensors have a battery in them and it degrades with time. Maybe that is my problem. If you have run flat tires, the tire needs to be dismounted by an outfit with the correct machine for the stiff sidewall.
I bet others more knowledgeable than I will chime in.
Replace the sensor, you don't have to go to dealer to replace, if your tire dealer does not have any you can purchase from Amazon and have them install
Sounds like your sensor battery is reaching the end of life. Typical lifetime is about 7 years but some give up the ghost a few years early. Resetting does no good because all programming does is teach the car the sensor ID so it can read the pressure signal broadcast by that sensor. If the car is recognizing the sensor and showing pressure including zero there is nothing a reset will do.

A couple of things to try. Raise the pressure to 35+ cold on that tire and drive it to see if the low warning remains. If not, then drop it back to 30 to check if it cures the problem. Swap sides on the rear wheels (maybe add pressure then too), since the standard reading sequence is LF, RF, RR, LR and any RFI can interrupt the system long enough to not complete a full reading.
One more thing, would be to borrow someone else's C7 wheel/tire that is known to be good. If all that fails to identify the LR low pressure reading, then you either have a RFI problem in the car or your RCDLR is failing.
