I can't stand just looking at my car under a car cover with a tender on it. You all that live in warm climates year round, you can take an ice pick and jab it in your eye. Just kidding, I'm just really jealous. Hopefully in a bout 3 years I'll never see snow again unless I WANT to see it. Car wants to be driven not hiding in a garage. Anyone else hate winter as much as I do?

Reason: Wrong title
About the only plus side I can see is that the Vette seems pretty special each spring. I did splurge on the cover. Figure if I have to look at it for 5 months here in Minnesota it might as well be interesting . . .
No big deal kind of like the change of seasons. Spring comes around fire up the beast and it is like getting a new car again. Of course being retired I do flock to Florida for a couple of months of sunshine and golf.
Being that I just got mine a few weeks ago, I have taken every opportunity of days over like 40 degrees and no precip. to drive it. That's been exactly 4 times since I've gotten it unfortunately! There isn't any salt/anti-skid on our roads yet. Once that occurs, mine will stay in the garage until the street sweepers clean the streets come April or so.
Winter here in western WA State (near Rainier) is a crapshoot. I'm still able to get her out once a week or so for an Italian Tuneup but with it getting deeper into the season that will lessen my opportunities more but still no need to leave her on the charger yet (she's good for about three weeks without it......)
I always feel like I have a "Winner", everytime I get in my car. I went for a long drive yesterday, with a long sleeve shirt, a good down vest, the dash and seat heater on full, and the top down.
That's why I got a set of winter tires
Plenty of days with clear roads and no salt or stones, just temps too cold for summer tires.
Problem solved, I can drive it all year
totally worth the money for the winter wheels/tires
I have lived in the upper midwest all of my life. Winter comes every year and you just get used to it. Look at the bright side...we can go ice fishing, snowmobiling, ride our side by sides in the snow...all kinds of things to do while we wait for spring.

If you live in an area that has winter weather, you adjust and get use to not being able to drive the car for a portion of the year. While in storage it’s a great time for doing those mods to the car.

Ice fishing? I have no trouble catching ice, it comes out of that hole on the front of the my freezer
Living in south FL I'm glad I don't have to deal with this "winter" thing you speak of... it rarely dips below 60 here

I drive mine year round just not on snow but the longest it will sit because of snow here is probably 3-4 days when it snows and stays below zero for days on end so nothing melts. Once streets are plowed and clear I'm back on the road again though. Cold temps don't bother anything if you have all-season tires on there, just drive it! If they don't plow the roads where you live then I guess you have to store it though...

I’d pump up that rear tire if I were you…..(that cover sure looks real).
Hate, Hate, Hate winter. Stuck here because the wife doesn't want to sell the house that we built in 1985, and can't afford to buy another in a warm climate without selling.

I have lived in Wisconsin all my life (58 years) and im still not used to winter. This morning it was 3 degrees with a wind chill of 10 below 0. Its too cold to even go in the garage just to look at the Corvette. The older I get, the colder it gets here. Next year Im going to spend the winter someplace warm. I don't even care where I go as long as its warm.
I put mine away this past Sunday. It was warm enough to wash/wax/detail/prep/cover. Look at it this way, Christmas comes again in March when the wrapping comes off.
Winter sucks ! Dark dreary overcast days. I'm fortunate to escape down south for an occasional month , return for a few weeks , then back down. Coming back to the the horrendous weather makes you appreciate Florida even more. The worse part of all is the tons of rock salt they dump on the roads in the Hudson valley region of New York. But so far it hasn't happened yet this year. Once it does then the roads are filthy until mid April... Terrible! Not a great climate for car enthusiasts.

If it is cold, I can put on more clothes. If it is hot, there is only so many pieces of clothing I can remove till I get arrested.

I actually put up with summer because I need it to do Trike riding, UTV Riding and Watercraft riding. Beyond that, summer can suck it. Hot and humid isn't for me.
