PDR Recordings

Are there anyone else that is having trouble with sound not playing when viewing PDR recordings on a MacBook. I have a 2019 Grand Sport that I purchased in July of 2020, throughout all of 2020 I was able to hear the sounds on the recording, after the start of Corvette season in 2021 I could view the video but no sound. I also have a friend with a 2017 Grand Sport that has the same issue on his MacBook, is this just happening to MacBook users or are others having the same experience.

I have a 2019 GS and have no trouble hearing the sound on my PC, obviously not a MAC but a computer none the less.

It may be a issue with Apple, it will not work with my old or new MacBooks.

That is common when using the apple standard player. I've never owned an apple product so I don't fully remember the details but trying one of the different media players fixes it I believe. If you search you'll probably find more specifics.

Had the same issues. With also 2019 GS. The solution is to play the video in I-photo, or photo on the tool bar. But not quicktime. I know this sounds strange but it works.

To see all of the data from the PDR you need Cosworth Toolbox - Windows only...

Download and Install VLC for the Mac. It'll work great!

You can download the VLC app for free. It will allow you to play those videos with sound. It also will let you set up a library of videos, etc.

^^^^ Beat me to it. VLC on Mac is the thing to use for our PDR and a lot of other things.

Cosworth doesn't work on Macs unless you have a windows emulator.

If a person tracks their car Cosworth ToolBox is an indispensable tool. It would be worth getting a windows emulator just so you could use it and the Pi Tools as well.
