Hello,
I have a Q.J 7000 and just installed a set of wheels on them for ease of moving them around. I know in the instructions it says not to raise them without a load ( vehicle) on them. I have seen on you tube them being raised without a vehicle on them ? Did I just answer my own question . What say you all ?
BTW HAPPY HOLIDAYS !!!
Thanks for looking ,
Rich
I have the 7,000 and I haven't found a reason why you can't. It's just hydraulics. If they won't come all the way down just hold the button and stand on them.

That is what I thought, I am only 165 lbs. but that should work with my neighbor on the other one.
Thanks,
Rich
One other tip. When you connect the hoses, press the down button on the pump. If you don't the connections are sometimes hard to make and you can end up ruining the quick disconnect fittings.

I did find connecting the hoses troublesome if this is not done, great point .

Can you post a picture showing how/where you added wheels to your QJ? TIA…
This was a mix of what you see on you tube and my own creation. I used a 5/8" threaded rod ( overkill ) 1/2" would suffice, 15 1/2" long . I just happened to have the 5/8" laying around. I used 1/8" steel and bent it 2 3/4" long for the wheel mounts and 1 3/4" long to mount to frame. I purchased the wheels on Amazon
I mounted the ( 2 1/2" ) high wheels 2 1/2" from the end by drilling into the frame and using self tapping heavy screws.
Hope this is helpful,
Rich
