Have couple similar to this that works great. Use them to maintain tire pressure on all our cars as well as put one in the car whenever we travel, just in case the spare is low...
I do. I have a very slow leak that was undetectable by the tire shop and I'd rather add two lbs every other week than have them unmount and remount the tire.
Here is one that fits easily in the cubby storage in back. And an added bonus is that it is accurate and easy to use. Just enter the air pounds you need and it automatically does it for you.
I keep Viair compressors in all vehicles, sized appropriately for the need. I've used them pretty frequently over 5 years for various tasks and they still work like new.
I have an older Walmart unit that I took everywhere... when our regular "good" compressor failed one year at B'ville, we used the little Walmart unit, and ended up lending it to a couple other teams close by that saw it. The thing may not have all the "features" you want, but still works like new last I checked. I've seen newer, fancier that quit working at all early-on. Sorry, I don't know the model specifics of any of them, but I'm sure mine's likely been superseded by now, anyway. But, just sayin'... one cannot necessarily judge these things by the price, and the simpler may be better from my experience.
I picked up a conventional tire pump from Walmart Supercenter bicycle department that works on all my vehicles, bicycle/unicycle. Doesn't need an oulet to operate either. Carry it with me when on a roadtrip.
Both of the cheezy-*** 12v outlet tire inflators (Harbor Freight cr@p...) I've bought over the years failed at some point, (both burnt-up/tilted on my 80 lbs. PSI RV tires.....) so I went back 60 years to the original tire inflator.....rated to 120 lbs. PSI. So, no more fails if I'm out in the boonies.

This is my experience as well. My 50 PSI trailer tires have killed everything but the Viair unit I have now. The cheap-o plastic covered units are fine for the few PSI you lose monthly but if you have recover a total flat, fill bigger truck or SUV tires, or get something above 40 PSI you need a decent metal body inflator to handle the heat. I found this advice is spot on: https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/r...ire-inflators/
Lots of posts on this already, but I saw this on one of the YouTube Channels and thought it a good review though somewhat spendy....
But pretty Compact.....
