I spoke with the folks at Infotainment.com and will be sending them the IO6 module. It was a bit difficult to remove but it's out. According to the rep, they've heard of similar issues that I described, called it ghost screens. Once they get my module its supposedly takes 3-4wks to repair and return; hopefully that resolves the issue. I'll report out after it's return, installed and tested.
How much does it cost and do you have to reprogram it at the dealer? I was waiting till spring to buy a second hand on bay but if sending it in would be great.

If you haven't shipped your part yet, try reaching out to https://www.gm-navigation.com first. They have a great reputation and may save you some $$$. This is who I used for the new HMI. Good Luck.
Thanks for the note. Unfortunately I already shipped the module to infotainment.com. The repair cost was $395.00; apparently it will take 3-4wks to be returned. Hopefully the repair fixes the issue. BTW - the dealer had done a firmware update that cost $210.00 but that did absolutely nothing. Just a fyi....
It seems there was a bit of confusion as that folks at Infotainment could not diagnose the problem with the I06 module without having my screen. I was not informed of that and have since requested the module to be returned. So, I'll have to take another path to get the issue resolved.
OP , I saw your post about HMI module. I just wanted to give you a update on my wife’s 17 Acadia which was in dealer for very similar problems as you have been experiencing as I posted in post 14. My wife’s vehicle screen problems continued and was more frequent and more crazy. So I took vehicle into dealer and for oil change and had the choice to have them redo diagnostic and have the cost for that service or try just replacing battery which was going on 5 years. I chose try battery as I would have to replace it soon anyway. Load test on battery two months ago and said battery ok. Told them to just replace it and be done with it . On ride home no radio screen or gauge screen issues. We’re on the way to dealer screen must have change on its own 30 times on a very short trip. Being your Corvette is a 18 depending on build date your battery could be problem like my wife’s Acadia which had a very late model year build date. Hoping screen issues stay away. I know it’s a different vehicle but very similar issues seemed to have been solved. So I wanted to mention it. Now that spring is near hoping we all can get our Corvette’s out and enjoy.

I appreciate the input. I ended up trading in the vehicle (not because of this issue) and obtaining a Z06. I couldn't resist as the vehicle was a standard, long beach red metallic, Kalahari interior, one owner and had only 3,800 miles on it. I loved my Grand Sport but really wanted the standard. Again, I thank you for your input and will keep it in mind with my new vehicle.
