Yep, distributors and carburetors, fine tuning timing, adjusting carbs, points etc things of the past. That's one reason I like the C2s so much, is you can still play around with them.

Timing guns. Oh the memories. My first car was a 79 New Yorker. I fiddled with the timing always, never did get it right. POS Chrysler Electronic Spark Control. Luckily moved to mid 80's GM cars after with fuel injection and didn't need that god awful timing gun much anymore. A whole new set of issues with mid 80s GMs, but hey, no more timing guns
I had a C4. It was a 91 so there WAS a need to use a timing light. I also have the MT2500 scanner which I probably will have to sell off along with the Snap On timing light that will serve as a tach and can adjust the light so you can see it as 0 even thought it was 6.
