Looks like the aeroplate. Easy to remove and no damage to the grilll. Gonna vent for a sec. Bought a Jeep Trackhawk in the spec we wanted....took 6 months to find it. Ask the dealer not to install the front plate. Of course the didnt listen and to remove would leave two screw holes in the front bumper.
That stinks! Any recourse to have the dealer correct the problem?
Stow-N-Go is the front license plate many here on C7 forum have gone with. Cost is around if not close to $100.00.
I chose the OEM front license plate holder located in the grille. It helps to shield the radiator from bugs, etc. a lot more than the OEM that covers the painted nose surface.
I am lucky to live in a state that doesn't require a front plate...I'm taking the bracket off as soon as I can.
There are some states that require the front plate to be up higher than the grille plate holder. That is why a C7 Corvette comes with 2 front plate holders. They both attach to the grille and can be removed with phillips screwdriver.

I read something about that...12" off the ground. or something like that.No worry here in AZ, no front plate is required.

IDK about your area but around here a front plate IS required by law. That said, I know of people that have been driving for over 20 years without one on their cars and probably got pulled over and given a "fixit" ticket. Theoretically, if you put some velcro and stick it back on and get it looked at, it should be fine once they sign off on it. After which, you can remove it again. The worst thing you can get is a ticket if the cop is being strict about it, as is his right.

I lived for 50 years in Nj and rthat was the rule there. They were tough.
We live in UT which requires a front plate. We've lived here 10 years without one on our Corvette...no problems so far. We drive a lot. UT tends to respect individual freedom more so than some places.

I don't see that as an issue of personal freedom. They aren't disrespectful of my personal freedom because they stop me walking around naked.
NY requires a front plate. I have never put them on my nice cars, my daily..yes. They don't bother me. Way too busy for it around here. Nonstop calls for them.
