....best buy/likely least expensive is the FIRST year/2014, the most trouble free of all the years.......

You didn't say if you have a max-limit$ .
I say get the newest you can afford. At least an 2LT, Nav is nice, All-Season tires, under 20k miles would be nice, one owner if possible.
If you get a Stingray, I say non-Z51 for a better Touring ride.
Good luck and best wishes...

M7 and HUD are well worth it, year will depend on your budget and availability.

Click on your user name at the top right, select "user control panel" and then select "edit avatar" Your new pic must be fairly small. I've had my C6 and both of my C7s as avatar pics.

Fixt...

You really cannot compare the C7 to any previos MYs of Corvette. It's THE right Corvette to buy. I passed ALL MYs since my bought new 1977 L82.👍 Boy oh boy was it worth waiting for too!😊

even though some will disagree always the last year of the model run is usually the best. most refined and all the bugs worked out by then.

Whether you get a manual or an auto is a personal decision. Me personally, at this point in my life, I prefer an auto. I have owned many cars over the years with manuals, and anymore, I will take an auto. Driving a manual does not increase my driving experience, but if you prefer a manual, go for it. Whatever you get, enjoy the C7.

Thats the process I used when deciding on my C7. Even though I ended up needing a new transmission after only 4900 miles! Luckily under BTB warranty. That aside I love my 2019 C7 GS. Would do it again.

Whatever year you decide on, I would recommend you have a competent Corvette mechanic take a thorough look at the car. Make sure everything functions properly and there are no outstanding diagnostic codes.

What do you like in a Corvette & what options do you require? Do you want a manual trans or an auto? Is the base engine an adequate amount of power or do you want to go ZO6? Do you like the base body style or go with a widebody GS/ZO6? Light or dark color? What is your budget? Coupe or ragtop? Lots of questions here & only you can answer them, good luck in your search

Big difference from the 14 (first year) to 19 (last year)
I would want a 17 or later....
2LT for sure....too many basic options not on a 1LT.
Big differences for me between the 14 to 19 is:
- no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto (can't imagine a car without this)
- seats have been bolstered since 1st year of production (lots of complaints early on)
- bigger tires on RR for 18 & 19 models were standard
- flat bottom stag wheel
- soft close hatch on coupe's
- homelink button not std on a 1LT
- new transmission A8. Issues were corrected after 1st year, no problems with 18 or 19's
And regardless of miles on any 14, the car is still 8 yrs old.....

I have had a 69 L46 4 speed roadster, a 99 MN6 convertible, a 13 MN6 2LT GS convertible and now a 19 A8 2LT GS Heritage Package convertible. The C7 is an awesome ride. I had the transmission triple flush done at 2,000 miles for piece of mind. No transmission issues. If you do go with a GS or Z06, be aware that the wheels can crack on the inside edge if you hit a big enough pothole or bridge transition. I bent 3 of mine on I-70 in Colorado (Crappy, Crappy, Crappy pavement). Had them straightened and had the alignment reset to -.05 rear camber to help spread the stress across the width of the tire and wheel. At 20,000 miles now and no more bent wheels. Good luck on your quest.

As stated just make sure the car is certified. I would rather spend more up front than a bunch down the road that costs you more later.. Plenty of reputable great C7's out there.. Good Luck!
