Change oil or wait?
So I bought my 2019 Stingray back in Aug 2021. Had 3,500 miles. Has 4,200 on it now and put to bed for the winter. I just found out from the dealer the only service done to it was its initial oil change back in Nov 2020 at 2,500 miles. So the oil is about 14 months old and has 1,700 miles on it. Should I change it in the Spring or wait until end of summer b4 it goes back to bed for next winter?

If it was my car I would change it. At a minimum, Once a year or the mileage.

Does having 2 yr old oil (ie change it in the fall) with only 3000 miles (1700 + whatever he puts on it this summer) on it void your warranty?
I know Gm has a recommended 1 yr timeframe regardless of mileage but the oil is no where near the end of its useful life

GM sometimes ignores things like that, and sometimes gets really nasty. Hard to predict.
The oil is very likely still good, but the OLI should be down to 0 unless someone reset it.
Is it possible that the oil/filter were changed by an outside shop before he bought it, but the OLI was not reset? Or the OLI was reset and the only thing missing is the paperwork?
Me, I'd try to find a day soon when the roads were salt free, and get it in there ASAP. Don't mention the "missing" change, and hope that nobody notices.

Having said that, your first oil change is important as it removes contaminates (excess sealants and such) from initial build from the engine. However against popular belief, motor oil doesn't go bad setting in little driven cars in just 12 months.

I change mine right at the one year mark - which happens to coincide with when I put the car away for the winter,

Powertrain warranty is something like 5 years, so should still be valid unless GM gets nasty about the missing oil change. Or some other mod/tune has been done.
