Default Exhaust Tips

I have a '17 GS with stock NPP exhaust. Are there any aftermarket replacement tips available and easy to install? Look for black or CF. Car is in storage so not sure if stock tips are removable or part of the system. Tired of cleaning the chrome and everything else is already blacked out...

Thanks!

The tips are not removal, but part of the system. Some have taken great care and prep successfully painted them, however I have doubts as to how long the paint will stay looking good.
Quite a few threads on the subject including painting process that has been used. Perform a forum search.

I wanted to do the same thing to my NPP and did some light research on the forums. It does not appear there is an easy solution like "slip on" tips or replacements. You would have to cut or remove the exhaust and use some high temp paint. I felt it was more trouble than it was worth, and I also didn't want to get an aftermarket exhaust (like the Corsa) just to change the tip color because I like the sound and functionality of the NPP paired up with my X pipe. So the exhaust is the only part of my car that still has chrome, and I'll just live with it.

I use one of the old style red shop rags to clean mine. If you do it regularly, it is rough enough to clean the carbon off without scratching.

Yeah, get rid of the dumb things. I simply prepped and painted mine with ultra hi-temp, semi-gloss paint almost 5-years ago. They still look great; but, as always prep is the key. Mine were also badly misaligned on the right side; and, I had to drill a new hole in the mounts to get them reasonably close. Thanks GM.

I have looked at how the tips attach to the mufflers and yeah, not an easy way to swap them out.

Really comes down to painting them, cutting them off and replacing them or going with a aftermarket CB

Many members just take the time to clean them thoroughly and if you keep on top of it from then on, they stay reasonably clean
