I have the base Stingray. I changed the diff oil today but had a b!@#& of a time getting To the drain plug. There are some sort of cooler lines running back and forth right behind the diff. Aluminum lines with heat sinks on them. Tried to get some pics, but they didn't come out great.
Luckily I have small hands and was able to move them enough to get a ratchet in there without too much damage to the fins. Is there a trick to getting to that plug?
I tried a long extension going over the frame brace, but couldn't get a straight shot because of the lines. Didn't think about putting a wobble on the end.
Wrap the cross-member with aluminum foil. When the diff drains, the fluid that you'd normally be cleaning up is on the foil. Spray the foil with a little brake cleaner so the lube runs off the foil. Remove foil. Nice and clean and no surprise fluid drips.
