For those that have - any issues with running the cable under the drivers floormat and up next to the seat? Just concerned that the movement of the seat could tug on the wire and tear it.

2 - where did folks mount the unit itself? I found the most secure location to be jammed way down low, basically at the very base of the gas pedal. My only concern here is that if getting into the car with wet shoes, some water could get onto the unit. Any thoughts?

Thanks!
1 - Yes.

2 - Not sure I understand the question. I tucked the wiring harness behind the pedal, out of sight and out of mind. IMO, if you drag enough water into the car on your shoes, you have bigger problems than the TC.

I put the prickly side of self-adhesive industrial strength Velcro on the back and stuck it to the carpet. The wires are just long enough to keep it from interfering with the accelerator pedal.

Default Question on Soler tc

Hi everyone, I want to give my thanks to Mike at Soler engineering, your products are awesome, the difference was phenomenal, I did a clean install, nothing is visible, put the display inside the center console, extremely happy and highly recommend, also you haven’t lived until you try ludicrous, cu on the road many thanks to all, zonlyway

yeah i started at 5 i think and went up and up. i think its good now just need to learn to drive the car still, lol.

yeah didnt drill or make any new holes or anything i filed down the usb on the side some so the cable fit less snug and i think i may just tape it to the side of the console like yours next time i work on my car some.

this project was cool to do since i was able to get to a few areas you normally dont need to. but its a pain in the but getting to the gas pedal area and trying to work down in that area.

Installed behind the carpet and just pulled the connector though the hole in the carpet so the ugly box and wiring harness is out of sight.

i ended up running the cable behind the leather trim piece and mounting inside the center console - thanks for the suggestion @Maxpowers ! Very clean look and easy setup. I left a little slack on the cable for future adjustment, but it’s completely invisible when the center console is closed. I also discovered you don’t have to pop the leather trim panel all the way off to run the cable - you can just pull on the front of it with your hand, and it creates enough space to run the cable

…I also took advantage of the opportunity to attach the Mild2Wild controller to the Soler controller cable so it wouldn’t get lost (I mostly use HomeLink for M2W control anyway)

as for the “black box” - I tucked it behind the carpet as many others suggested. Don’t know how I missed that hole in the carpet the first time!

thanks all
