Long time member here but haven't posted in a while. I've owned multiple vettes and the only person to ever touch them mechanically was the best guy in this city. He was the foremost vette knowledge base locally, a great guy and trusted friend. GM would fly him in to conduct tests and assessments before new vettes were released. He was knowledgeable about every aspect. We were friends through the vette community for many years. He performed the annual inspections on mine, which only needed stickers because I do all the maintenance myself. Like most vette owners, mine are kept immaculate and he would tease me all the time about it. Unfortunately he unexpectedly and suddenly passed away - I'm frankly still in a state of shock. Anyway, trust is a huge factor when it comes to people around my cars, especially my vette. He understood this and let me go in with him and we would talk about the various engineering tech on the vette and other things. Each experience was awesome and stress free. Sorry for the rambling.
Now that he's gone, I'm looking for someone trustworthy in Pittsburgh to simply put stickers (ok, perform the required annual inspection) so I can be legal in Pittsburgh. I'm located in the south hills area. I don't want some greasy ya hoo touching my vette, ya know? Can anyone recommend someone they trust? Feel free to pm me with a name and any other information such as if you want me to tell them you referred me. Thank you very much.
Last but not least, my friend's name is Paul Gurcak, many of you locally here probably know him. He had a huge following. RIP Paul.
I get it. You want someone who is meticulous and trustworthy. That said, these are GM cars. They are not that complicated nor special. They are not Ferraris or exotics. Their parts are not exclusive. Find a mechanic who understands that Corvette owners are crazy and a bit delusional and you should be fine. That what I look for.
