After bringing my 2017 Grand Sport out of winter storage I noticed that the dash gauges had gone to metric/kilometers. My heads up display was not functional at all, my mode selector on the console was not changing modes. The dash had it locked in Tour mode. My traction control button on the console was also not working. I attempted to use the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel to put my gauges back to my choices. Upon hitting the lift button I only have 4 selections to choose from. There was no Settings at all. I was also unable to change any of the pocket gauges to anything but blank or horsepower. I checked all of the fuses that I could and they all were good. The closed relays in the fuse boxes I could not check. The car does start and run. After shutting it down I decided to do a global reset by removing the negative battery terminal for 15 minutes. At that time I attempted to open the trunk electrically and was unable to do so even though it worked prior when I opened it to get to the rear fuse box. The trunk button on the lower left of the dash didn't work nor did the button underneath in the rear of the car. My fob button did not work either but the fob battery is new. So I manually opened the trunk with the key from the fob and did the global reset, that did nothing to repair any of the problems. Does anyone have any ideas as to a cause or a fix? I did notice that I was able to go into the infotainment and access Settings where I am able to change modes (I can hear the exhaust get louder and quieter) but the dash still shows Tour mode. Thanks for any help.....Ray
thanks for the reply. Others have suggested the battery. I did check it and it is putting out 12.8 volts. Seems fine but I will definitely change it as it is the original battery. The fob battery is new but I will change that one also. Thanks for the reply and I'll let you know...........Ray
I'd say it's time to find a good dealer or independent shop with a Corvette specialist. They should have some experience, and proper test equipment to figure it out.
Good luck!
- try a system reset by disconnecting the negative battery cable for 30 min
- verify the battery is fully charged - 12.9 volts or so
- review all of the battery cable connections - are the clamps down, level, and tight?
- are all of the fuse buss connections on the positive terminal flat and tight?
- is the small black sensing wire still connected to the negative battery cable clamp?
Then try again. If no joy, take the car to a good shop.
I kind of wonder if you had a rodent problem over the winter.
That does seem like an awful lot.. might be time for a dealer visit... or someone who can do an in depth scan. I hope it's just something silly and easy.. good luck
Well I have already done a global reset by removing the negative terminal from battery. Didn’t work. I’ve also changed the battery even though the old one tested at 12.8 voltage. Checked every fuse I could one by one. I’m wondering if it’s a closed relay in the fuse box. Impossible to know if one of them is bad just by looking at it. I appreciate all the suggestions from everyone. I guess it’s time to bring it to the dealer. I just find it so peculiar that one minute it was working and next it wasn’t. Also someone suggest possibly rodents or mice. Car spent the winter inside a car trailer which was in a garage. My trailer is tight and never had even a mouse inside. Maybe anything’s possible. Thanks again to all. Ray

What is tight to you isn't necessarily tight to a mouse. They are extremely flexible.
