Default bye for now

every story has a beginning and end. My car is being picked up on tuesday. It was a great run. other then some self inflicted throwing of codes( vitessie sucks when you run hard) it was never in the shop for other than routine service. At the end she looked better then when I picked her out. She sat for a while outside before being bought and really needed a paint correction which I lovingly did. There is a bond between man and machine. Remembering the good time tail of the dragon the snake and cherhola highway. Heck just tooling around town with the top down on a summer night. She joins the memories of my 2006 and my supra turbo. May whoever buys her enjoy her as much as I did. I will still lurk here and will be joining the C8 crowd shortly. I have a torch red htc c8 on order. In the mean time I will be drifting my wife's rdx down some country roads

Enjoy your C8 as much as you have your C7.

You don't have to leave just because of selling your C7, I still stick around. They haven't started banning C8 owners here, at least yet.

Someone has try new things. Go for it. Love my C7 as I did my C5. Different animals but change is good if you don’t spend too much time looking back. Corvette sustains as an American icon!

So you are one of those guys who believes the type car they drive defines their masculinity. Sorry to hear that.

Yes, of course, thus my 'wink'. However have to admit your constant trashing of the C8 does get a little annoying. Don't moderators typically to take more a 'neutral' position on forums? I know that was strongly encouraged when I was a forum moderator.

I appreciate the C8 for what it is, but I do keep in neutral in other Forums. I do express my personal views here in the C7 sections when people have discussions and are like minded. I would never say, go to C8 sections and bash them, nor would I attack anyone who owns a C8. Let alone any generation of Corvette, they are all special to someone. Pick a generation and be happy . I appreciate all Corvettes for what they are and the people who own them who are just as passionate about their generation Corvette. You will find them in every forum. We do have our feelings and views. Forums cannot be a sterile place where opinions from anyone are censored or trolled because they are different from their own or not the "norm".. This is my Corvette Club not just only forums to me. Everyone can express their views openly in free discussions here in the Forums moderators included.. we are people too ya' know.

And I must say I joke around a lot... usually have a great time laughing and joking with friends.... I think sometimes inference is lost in cold hard text... you never get the flavor of what a person means. I love all cars Corvette or any other cool cars. Don't listen to me though I bet the Internet was just a fad and would be gone in a year...

I agree!
I'm a more a serious type and sometimes can come off a little harsh in posts, but a fairly nice guy in person. Ask my grandkids, they think I'm the nicest guy in the world.

Congratulations! A Corvette is a Corvette. I like all the new stuff myself and wish I could have a c8 Z in my hands now, but I'm fully satisfied with my C7s until I get the C8. Probably a few years down the road based on the supply and demand thing. Every Corvette generation ever made is better than the previous generation. You're in for a real treat.
