Thank you guys for helping, if anyone is curious to take a look at the car he did provide me with an address .. im not sure how smart that would be as the above mentioned post said its a confirmed fake VIN # that does not exist . This is the pic of the title he sent me. Which has his address ... I did a google street view of the house and it matches the house seen on the video he sent me. So the car DOES exist and is indeed from that location but probably with a fake VIN. I'll attach the photo
I was able to find the VIN on several sites, including the NHTSA, I also checked the title number in the FL DMV and found this (see attached).
Question is why would he be selling at that price?
Have your local Chevy dealer run a GMVIS check on that VIN number for any past info on the car....maybe this is NOT a scam, either check out the car yourself or maybe one of the forum members here can do that for you
I found this VIN in a search as a 2017 Corvette....not sure why someone said it doesn't exist.
I am new to VIN searches but I found it on three sites.
What am I missing here?
Running it through a VIN decoder doesn't mean it's a real car. The website I used is the one GM uses to communicate recalls. GM says that VIN does not exist.

Exactly. The last six digits are unique in each model year. For 2017, the real car with sequence number 600501 is the YP VIN. A 1LZ Z06.

An error occurred with your request. General Motors LLC does not recognize your VIN. Please contact General Motors LLC by email at info@gm.com for recall information about your vehicle.
The title is real. But the VIN is fake. Florida has a reputation for giving a title to just about anything.
1G1YP2D67H5600501 = 16 records
1G1YU2D66H5600501 = 0 records
If anyone wants to play with a guaranteed fake VIN, use this. It's for ZR1 #5000. GM only built 2900-ish ZR1s. I completely made it up, but it'll pass a basic VIN decoder.

Its very kind that some people have offered to check out the car, but i think there's too many red flags and I'd hate to put someone else in a position where they're meeting some scam artist. I'll pass and keep searching. Thank you guys though for helping 🙏
Good thing you checked here before committing to the buy. Nice job everyone on warning the member.
Absolutely, very grateful for all the help from everyone. I would have never given him money or even commited to taking the trip down without further proof as i am very skeptical of Facebook listings in general. This was definitely an eye opening experience to say the least.
