Hi guys would really appreciate some advice on a buy . I found a seller with a 2017 Z06 2lz 24k miles in Florida whose asking $65k. Says car is clean and clear of accidents or branding on title. When i run the car on carfax it comes back as 2017 3lz but zero records. Could it be a scam? Or is it common? Any advice appreciate it. Thank you in advance

That price is low for the present market - too good to be true, IMO. Probably a scam.
Maybe Could try a local Chevy dealer and run the GMVIS and see what that says, just my two cents.
Agree on Carfax, it’s a 50/50 chance it’s correct, okay maybe 60/40 it’s right.
The deal does sound to good for this market.
Carfax is only as good as the people who have input the information, not everyone is honest.
agreed its not 100% bullet proof ... I just wanted to make sure its not a branded or salvage title first and foremost. Someone told me (and not sure if this information is correct) that you can get a clear title in Florida from a previous state that was branded before. So that is my main concern.
all you need is the vin # . simple google will bring up all the food info of the car that you need. if its a salvage iaai and copart post fotos and the internet never forgets

If you ever have any doubts AND the car is not where you can go thoroughly inspect it yourself... keep looking! Used performance/sports cars are risky enough as it is (unless you personally know the seller and approve his/her handling of it). And, to makes things worse for C7s now, many have had multiple owners. All the best.

my buddy bought a fresh water flood car from copart. the water mark never made it past the middle of the rim. the entire dealership was flooded and insurance the entire lot of cars. car ran fantastic and yrs later still going strong. not every flood is a bad buy but stay away from salt water cars
