Had same issue with my 15, but no where near as bad.
Every time I try to refill tank the pump handle kicks off after about 5 seconds. Directions on gas cap/lid are useless. Tried every position possible including holding pump nozzle upside down and I'm pushing it in as far as possible.
Common problem. Some pumps work, some don't. A common solution is to twist the nozzle so it isn't vertical - maybe 45+ degrees to one side and hold it until full.

Filling up my 2019 GS can be finicky pulling the nozzle almost out and finding the right angle but that's OK. Once I find the angle of the nozzle that my corvette likes it's smooth sailing.
Last week I stopped at a station that I often hit. I have no problem with the pumps on the end rows but this time I had to use one in the middle row and it was the worst fill up experience ever. It was so frustrating that I finally gave up.

If you constantly use the same station for your gasoline purchase, you may want to try a different station and see if the problem disappears. Could be the pumps at the one station are much more sensitive to back pressure and cut off the flow quicker.
Would try different gas pumps to see if the problem is persistent, if it is there is probably a problem with the vent system on the fuel tank. I am not that familiar with the C7 fuel system but in my Explorer that I used to have, it had the same problem. We ending up having to change out the charcoal cannister that handles the fumes from the fuel system to fix it. My mechanic told me that when people overfill their gas tank trying to squeeze every ounce they can get in it,over time it will cause gas to overflow into the ventilation system and go into the charcoal cannister and over time, will become saturated and will not vent properly and make it hard to put gas in the vehicle. He told me when the pump kicks off, pull the nozzle out and don't try to put in a nickel's worth more. Hopefully this is not the problem. Good Luck
If rotating the nozzle used to work and now doesn't you probably have an emissions system issue. Might need to take it to the dealer. There's a thread in the C7 ZR1 forum with a similar issue.
I just realized, because of this thread, that because of the price of gas, I have only been using the local Costco. I cannot remember having a problem recently with this since I made the change! 😕
My 2019 was bad when I first got it...I tried a few positions...what always works for me now is putting the gas nozzle all the way in, but totally upside down. Never balks when I do this.
