i need to replace my rear tires and thought i would replace the sensors as they are going on ten years old.. does anyone know if these will work? i know schrader makes the oem sensors for GM and these are half the price. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...=7194836&jsn=3
according to rock auto, these sensors replace the following oem part numbers: OEM Sensor P/N:13598775, 13327259; 13348393; 13581560; 13581562; 13598775
dont know what the oem part number is for the sensors that came with the car. according to GM parts direct the oem number was 13581560 but has since been replaced by 13598775.
Tire Rack sells Shrader 20223 for 2014 - 2019.
Rock Auto sells the Shrader 20223 for $22.79 (No temp info)

so are you saying the 20223 is a replacement for the 13581560/13598775? the 20223 is an oer replacement which means it is already programmed. it just needs to recognize the particular vehicle it’s going into.
I gave you the part numbers I have listed on my cardfile. I personally will get the GM part for my car when the time comes (my next tire replacement).
The cheaper units do not have temperature information and some of the newer C7s had a tire temp function. My 14 did not have that so I could probably use the cheaper unit. I dislike using aftermarket parts at times and this is one of those times.

my 2014 does not have a tire temp function either. just air pressure.
When I got a second set of wheels a few years ago, there were postings on the forums of some aftermarket sensors not communicating properly , so I had OEM sensors installed and had not a single issue in the 6 years I've had them.
Worth whatever the additional cost over the aftermarket was at the time to avoid any aggravation

thats probably because a lot of the after market sensors are made for europe at 315mhz and american sensors communicate at 433mhz. the sensors i am talking about communicate at 433mhz.
I have Shrader in my second set of wheels (OEM was on back order at the time). They work great and have temp sensors if you get the right ones. Also the shop cloned the ID from the original ones so there is no learning period.
