"They are $100, Hecasa brand." Really? Why take the risk when ones of known quality is available? Do you really want to hassle with what they may be like, meaning how made and how they install? But, perhaps you can be the guinea pix and let us know how it turns out with these.
I purchased these 4 years ago and they’ve been perfect. Yes I know putting $100 skirts on a new $$$ C7 is sacrilegious (I even put the $100 Amazon splitter on too) but so far so good.[/QUOTE]
It really shouldn't be sacrilegious though. Most of the "brand name" parts, if you ask them for photos of the production facility, they can't produce them. I personally know people with brand name businesses and have actually done some reselling myself ordering bulk lots of parts from alibaba. 99.9% of carbon fiber steering wheels are all made by the same handful of shops in China and can be had on alibaba or aliexpress at sometimes up to 65% cheaper than through US resellers you just have to wait longer. If you look in ebay you'll find lots of skirts with "imperfections". They're just the parts from the big box store that didn't pass their quality check and are being unloaded at cost.
