If you keep clicking on the pump, to get that little extra in, after it shuts off gas can get into the evap cannister clogging it and if that happens it will shut of the gas pump after just a little gas being pumped, expensive to have repaired
I have tried to fill the tank on my '15 convertible three times now. Even tried different gas stations. It keeps shutting off the fuel nozzle way before half tank. No matter how slow I try to put fuel in, it just keeps bubbling up the neck.
Stupid question but how do you know this? The C7 is 18.6 gallons so it isn't a lot (had an excursion with a 44 gallon tank which you can get 46 in if you tease the pump and have the vent modified). Are you sure the gauge is accurate?
I've had similar problem, but it seems to be the way the gas pumps vapor sensor or their filter or ??? but seems to be gas pump. I usally get gas at a Buckeys that has like 200 gas pumps and it happens at the same pumps most of the time, but if I go to another pump it goes away?

Yes, occasionally I come across a pump with no problems. Wild guess is around 30% of the time.
Happens all the time to me, I pull the nozzle about half way out, and then turn the thing mostly upside down. Also best to not fill at full nozzle speed when it starts hiccuping like that.
Does this at every pump I have tried, except when the gas is coming out of the pump very slowly. I turn the nozzle at 90 or just past 90 degrees and it works. I do get the occasional strange look from others at the gas station when I am doing the gangster hold on the nozzle.
I turn the nozzle to the side and, depending on the pump, the flow speed varies. Yet, sometimes I've found a pump that works fine. Go figure. (btw, patience is a virtue)
This happened on my 15 stingray, I ended up replacing the following parts. I tried all the different angles while fueling and different stations and pumps. Nothing worked. My Vapor Canister ended up being clogged up.

What year model C7 did GM fix this big-time annoyance? Has every C7 have this fueling problem?
You guys realize that the "vapor recover system" requires a seal and having the fuel nozzle half in or half out defeats the purpose and is not legale... You could go to "Q".. for heaven sakes!
When researching the issue the others initially could have been a culprit as well. Process of elimination lol. I started with just the vapor canister purge valve, that didn't fix it. I then moved on to check the cannister I figured since I was there might as well replace the solenoid as well. Anyhow the canister was clogged easy fix maybe $200 total I think.
