I'm getting ready to replace the flex plate and torque converter in my 2014. I am interested in finding the torque specs for the spline clamp and the torque converter if anyone would happen to have them. I have the ones for the flex plate.
The spline clamp bolt is 96 ft/lbs but you need to be very careful on making sure you have the correct crankshaft end play. If you aren’t familiar with the process definitely do some research on it or you’ll wipe out the thrust bearing on the crankshaft.
The simple version is to hand tighten the clamp bolt (about as tight as you can get with a small 1/4 drive ratchet) and warm the vehicle up to operating temps. I let it sit and idle for about 20 minutes to make sure it's heat soaked enough. After that is complete, allow the vehicle to cool down completely (minimum of 5 hours) and then push the crank pulley backwards with a medium breaker bar. You're trying to get the end play to it's rearward most position and then torque the clamp bolt to 96 Ibft.
After the bolt is tight, measure the end play with a dial indicator on the crank pulley. You can pry the pulley back and forth to get the total end play. It should be between .0015” and .0085", but I like to see around .005"
