wow this is a sucky situation man!
seems totally unreal that is from a very low speed parking lot accident!
best of luck getting some resolution, I would be extremely pissed.
Without giving away the name of the dealer (you may or may not want to), can you say what part of town it was in?
Since I live here, I was just curious . . . . .
(It's obviously a place to avoid!)
Why would publishing who, what where cause any problems. Only state facts, no commentary/opinion. Say dealer, sales people, other folks involved in deal etc. The facts.
sadly I didn’t look at the carfax(I know stupid) too excited too tired too late and thinking how nice it looked how nice it drove etc. I was shown a paper that mentioned a accident and state inspection to be “road worthy” after looking at the carfax it states a medium scale front accident
Sorry for your situation. There is NO plus side when you get aggravated. This is exactly why I want a 3rd party that is independent of the seller to examine the car. So either it has a return policy that is acceptable or a warranty or I will have it inspected BEFORE money changes hands. The best sellers are the ones that get you excited enough to gloss over any problems. They let you drive it and what not to form an attachment to the car.
Personally, I'd fix it and get what I can out of it and sell it and get something WITHOUT the bad taste in the mouth.

With all the bs that happened I decided to keep it . As aggravated as I got I’m not mad , I made a mistake that yes right now is a bummer that I’m paying money to fix something that I could use towards modifying but it’s a learning experience 🤮.
it’s my first corvette I don’t plan and didn’t plan on selling so resale doesn’t bother me. if I sold this one and get into a clean one I’ll be in a worse off position financially. Its cheaper to fix the car and keep for the long haul then to trade with serious negative equity for a long haul keep.
Body shop inspected the car and said it will be an easy(in their eyes) fix since the only damage to the frame is the front “break off” section so It’s going under the knife.

I hate to say it, and I've not read all the other replies, but originally they were totaled for such damage because the frame is all aluminum. You might speak with your attorney. I think that's the best next step. You were screwed, but I hope not without some recourse. I'd hope you get more from this than a learning experience. All the best, in any event.
Interesting story here. This car may have damage in a different location than yours but It explains the why dealers won't deal with liability. Lots of stories on this on the web.
