depends what you call competing, but yes. they definitely punch above their price tag.
Competing as in for the sportscar purchaser's $. Corvettes are often strongly considered for purchase and sometimes are purchased by sportscar enthusiasts who were initially in the market for other more expensive brands. Porsche would be a good example. There are posts both here and on the C8 forum where those initially planning on purchasing a Porsche have instead purchased a C7 or C8.

Somebody on this forum just posted about this and his solution. Seemed to work perfectly. He used a syringe, glue and a roller. I screen shot his post. I'll share it here.
It all depends on the severity of the damage as to which (if any) repair will work. The only sure fix is to replace the dash and even then, there's no guarantee that the new dash won't fail. There's been examples here where 3LT dashes have been replaced 3 times.
Some have replaced their 3LT dashes upon failure with the 1LT/2LT dash which do not have delamination issues.
You guys can treat the leather all you want, I'm 100% sure the issue is the glue used underneath. It's garbage.
The only solution would be to find some way to coat the entire thing with something that reacts chemically to keep it stiff and hard, not sure if this exists.
