Default Voltage Sense Wire

Quick question: Is this hard to replace or fix? Any suggestions where to purchase?

Is there anything an amateur need to know to fix this properly?

Thanks in advance

Just splice in a piece of stranded 14 or 16 gauge black wire (from any auto parts store). You can use a crimp connection or solder with electrical tape over. Nothing special about the wire itself except that it is too short..

Since that wire is used by the alternator in allocating power to the car's electronics, I'd suggest soldering the extension to the existing wire, as adding a crimp connector in an isolated location like the battery compartment is subject to corrosion and corrosion is an enemy of accurate voltage required by the computer on wheels known as the C7.

Yup, solder the wire and cover it with shrink wrap.

Shrink wrap is the bomb.
