Can you align the front end before you put on new tires? Mine are worn bad on the inside and my tires won’t be here till after the 1st of the year. I have an appt. tomorrow.
I did a search on alignment specs and what I found for max tire life was -0.5 camber and 0 toe for street only use. I don’t track my car, daily driver.
Alignment should be done with new tires. How far is the drive from new tires to alignment? I also have the cords showing through the insides of both original front tires after 28k miles but it drives dead straight. I plan on short drive to alignment place with new tires for a more road friendly alignment than stock for longer tire life.
I think the OP is asking if he can get the alignment done now and get new tires installed later and the answer is yes. You can certainly get it aligned at any time. Alignment has nothing to do with the tires except determine how they wear. So if you get it aligned now, you do not need to get it aligned again once you get the new tires.
Thank you! I thought so but wanted to check. It drives like an arrow but the insides are smooth and almost new on the outside. I’ve only had the car for 2500 miles and was shocked to see the wear. Thanks again!

Did the Shop have a Rear Caster tool ? If Rear Camber was Adjusted it will Change Rear Caster. They have to be Adjusted Together. Alignment Machines Can Not Measure or Display Rear Caster
